Hello, I am Nick Powell. I am from Mannington, WV. I graduated from North Marion High School in '11. I went to West Virginia Wesleyan College for the 2011-12 school year. I am currently studying Secondary Education(Math), and I am hoping to teach somewhere between 7th and 10th grade math.
I have had teachers in the past that have had problems linking the ability to teach and the knowledge of the continent. I feel that I can link the two and do so in an entertaining way. I feel that I can answer the widely used questions by math students: "Where will I use this in the real world?" I think that a good way to do this is to create real world, interactive problems that the students can work on together.
